Before beginning his aviation career, Don Medine built a diverse professional background spanning public service, tactical operations, and business leadership. He served for 18 years in Northern California law enforcement, holding roles as a Police Sergeant, Tactical Operator, K9 Officer, and Sniper. His career in public service was defined by high-risk operational leadership, disciplined decision-making, and mission-focused execution.
Following his law enforcement career, Don co-founded Tactical Command Industries, a company specializing in advanced tactical communications equipment for elite law enforcement and military units. The company was successfully acquired in 2013, providing Don the opportunity to pursue his lifelong passion for aviation full time.
Don earned his private pilot’s license in 2014 and has since logged thousands of flight hours, obtained multiple commercial and professional aviation ratings, and earned his SF50 Vision Jet type rating. Today, he is an experienced Vision Jet owner and professional captain with more than 1,700 hours of flight time in the SF50.
